This position reports directly to the Automotive & Industry Area Controller. This role is responsible for finance support on business performance:  Accurate Actual Results, Forecast, Budget, Reporting, Costing, Inventory, Hyperion, S&OP, MIS, and other related duties as requested for A&I locations, especially Industry and its business units.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Reporting: P&L, Sales by customer. Pricing. Cost/kg. Saving initiatives reports. Operational and Sustainability;
  • Daily Reporting KPIs: Tons produced/Sold, Daily Sales, Inventory, expired materials, Raw Material and Sales Price index;
  • Monthly Reporting:   P&L results, publish cost center reports for all BU's and support departments. Profitability charts;
  • Hyperion:  MIS reporting that ties to all management reports.  Prepare supporting documentation for MIS Hyperion reports and full analysis of variances vs. PY, Forecast, Budget;
  • Ability to work with Business Intelligence solutions as well as tools provided to oversee data in order to consolidate and prepare final reports (by location, business, product, etc.).  Ensure accuracy and standardization;
  • Cost Analysis: Run Preliminaries, analysis variance/investigate for reasonableness, monthly posts. Standard Cost.  Absorption rates; Production Cost, manufacturing variances.
  • Periodic review of cost centers for accruals or reclasses and journal entries to correct.  Misc accrual entries as needed;
  • Investigate costing for an existing product on request.  Analyze accurate statement of inventory which includes coordination and recording: 
  • Annual physical inventory, cycle counts and individual cycle count adjustment postings/variance analysis/assurance all RM/FG are counted 1x monthly;
  • Account reconciliations: Document reconciliations of Inventory subledger to General Ledger account balances as assigned by the Operational Controllers;
  • MDM Process: participate in the Material data master (new part creation) review costing, estimate to assure all is included then roll cost of new part creations;
  • Additional duties as requested to support successful team in A&I organization including all locations.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Education required:  4 year degree in Accounting or similar.
  • Experience required:  Controllers, FP&A, Pricing roles, minimum 5 years in multi-national finance positions; preferable in mfg. environment
  • Professional license or certificate requirements:  None
  • Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required: strong aptitude for data, math and strong analytical skills
  • Above average computer skills and experience with Excel, SAP S4/Hana, Hyperion, and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Above average knowledge of Finance Analysis, Cost Accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as Forecast and Outlook discussions.
  • Above average critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. 
  • Familiarity with Automotive and Industry market environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with production, warehouse and Management personnel to affect better work processes with regard to cost control
