Responsible for the management of the QMS for the Lyndhurst facility and will entail the development, implementation and control of all documented procedures and processes. The experienced candidate must manage and maintain all internal quality audits (ISO9001 & IATF) and integrated management systems, manage the internal and supplier CARs, and will also support the quality monitoring of QIRs and be involved with problem solving in Lyndhurst Operations.

In cooperation with site management, responsible for the implementation of proactive Quality Management Systems (process-house) that will position the Lyndhurst Operations as a leader in process and product quality through continuous improvement activities.

  • Maintain and support all QMS relevant procedures, including initialize and optimization of such procedures. Provide corrective and preventive techniques to insure continuous improvement of the QMS.
  • Establish and maintain all certification schedules and activities including internal and external audits as well as documentation review, to meet all requirements from ISO9001 & IATF16949.
  • Manage the internal and supplier’s CARs, including initiating, monitoring, following up and closing these CARs. Also generate the Quality Notification via SAP for related supplier’s CAR.
  • Lead QIR topics in Lyndhurst plant, including investigation and related corrective & preventative actions.
  • Assist and(or) lead the continuous improvement activities, including SCIP teams, investigation & problem-solving projects for quality related nonconformance.
  • Provide management with regular reports regarding compliance status, specific action items, problems, and opportunities. Monitor and report quality control organization performance.
  • Control documents of standard forms & procedures and web-based SMS.
  • Monitor the scorecards for automotive customers via their portals, and other related assessment/updates in their portals.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical or Industrial Engineering; advanced degrees a plus.
  • Must be familiar with product quality requirements for Automotive manufacturers (8D reports, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, Process Flow and PSW) and must be able to facilitate and/or coordinate training in continuous improvement activities to improve manufacturing and distribution processes.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining a QMS.
  • Qualification as an internal auditor is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Chemical Manufacturing Industry
  • Full understanding of Quality Management (ISO 9001 and IATF16949)
  • Computer literacy (MS Excel, MiniTab, etc.)
